<< et The Good Time Roll
Count and Duke go to the movies >>

We do not live in America so we should not care that much about what is going to happen. But, still! Being proselyts of this Afro-American culture named “Jazz”, we can only say “Now’s (really) The Time”.

@Jazz.com : Parker’s recording remains a classic, and his playing here demonstrates that his modernism did not involve a rejection of the past, but rather a return to first principles, which Bird respected in shaping his own novel vocabulary and musical structures.

@Rolling Stone : : With “The Times They Are A-Changin’”, “I wanted to write a big song, some kind of theme song, with short, concise verses that piled up on each other in a hypnotic way,” said Dylan

@Tom Wilson : Dizzy’s always seems to have some amazing melodic lines whether in the upbeat “The Champ” song, or the subdued “Time On My Hands”.

@Afgen.com : Once tied in with Vee-Jay, the rough-and-tumble sound of Hooker’s solo and duet waxings was adapted to a band format. Hooker had recorded with various combos along the way before, but never with sidemen as versatile and sympathetic as guitarist Eddie Taylor and harpist Jimmy Reed, who backed him at his initial Vee-Jay date that produced “Time Is Marching”
